The Red Floral Arrangement
I am so happy to share the pictures of the floral arrangement that SIL and I chose on Tuesday. We went again to the shop on Friday to collect our orders and here they are..heh!

After the wedding is over, these floral arrangements will look great in the living hall.

The close up of the floral arrangement which consists of main flower lily, and another one which I’m not sure what, decorative twigs, some bunga letup (bleeding heart vine?), more fillers and leaves.
SIL bought a pair of ceramic pedestals to place the floral arrangements as well since she didn’t buy bedside tables for the bilik pengantin.
I will update the picture of the bilik pengantin once the wedding is over..heh!

The Now-Not-So-Nice Garden
Remember my previous entry about my garden? These were the pictures taken about a few weeks ago.

Now my garden is not that nice anymore..huhu! The next door neighbor decided to put up the wall and the Indon contractors spoiled everything. They stepped on my pearl grass while laying the bricks, making the cement dropped everywhere and in the process damaged most of my plants..eeiii sakit hati!

We have to remove most of the potted plants away from the construction area in order to salvage them..but some die in the process. Benci! Benci!
I hope the job will be completed soon because I plan to rearrange my plants and replenish the grass before Hari Raya.

I Love My Garden!
Unexpectedly, SIL #2 decided to pay us a visit last weekend. Actually it was SIL #1 who brought them to our house as they came to KL earlier for nephew #2 degree registration in KLMU.
Well known to the family that she likes gardening and has the eye of landscaper..(ceh!), after the late lunch I purposely went out to check out my garden. Actually I wanted to put aside those keladi and lily plants that I promised to give to SIL#1 (we always have this arrangement whereby I will semai new plants, once gemuk and sihat, SIL will take it to her home)…I asked SIL#1 whether she wants to take the old orchid pots I have since I don’t have time to take care of orchids now and then SIL #2 came out and voiced out her opinion about my garden. One thing led to another, it turned out to be total garden makeover.
I will update this entry with picture later once I managed to snap one or two. We were rushing to go to Bagan Lalang after the garden makeover that I didn’t have the chance to take picture of my new garden arrangement.
I was so happy with my new garden since Hubby said the front yard looks more spacious now compared to the previously scattered, tak berseni arrangement I had..hehe! (That was not garden, that was more like tapak semaian..haha!) And SIL #2 said I should buy more plants to fill up some lopong space..(and all this while I thought I have no more space to add in new plants..heh!)

What’s Your Security Method?
Lately I have been pondering on the idea of installing wireless security system for my new home. I can’t help but to feel great fear whenever I read or heard on the news about theft and burglary. It’s not so much about the lost of belongings or whatever mere possession I have at home, but what if something were to happen to our family? (Touchwood!)
For now we only have bars at the door and windows. And Hubby bought a sensor light and installed at the front door to detect motion at night. Even having a large dog won’t ensure the safety as the previous neighbor told me about how her house was broken in a few weeks ago, even though the next door house has a dog. Luckily nobody was harmed in the burglary.
If given the choice, I think I will go for their Gold package as it covers 12 entry points and gives 1 motion detector. What these 12 entry points mean is that the wireless door and window sensors will cover the most vulnerable perimeter openings. When an intruder opens any of those doors or windows, your siren will activate and the alarm system monitoring station will be notified immediately.
The package also comes with internal siren. Their X10 Powerhorn Siren, a piercing, 105 db, plug-in sirens can be added anywhere around the home. They work through your existing home wiring. The siren responds to signals from an alerted Command Station. No intruder will hang around when one of these sirens sound.
For those in the US, check out this toll free number, 877-470-2751 and if you call now you will get 2 keychain remotes with your order.

Laboring On Labor Day!
Today is the 1st May, a public holiday for Malaysia. Despite the one day off for Labor Day (which leads to long weekend), Hubby was not at home. Instead he went to our new house (after he bought lunch for me..hehe!) to do the painting job, laboring himself in the hot sun..huhu!
The wiring men completed the messy task of hacking the wall yesterday, plastered everything and Hubby bought paints yesterday afternoon (with my insistence) to paint the wall back to the normal color. We did want to paint the interior to different color scheme but since we don’t have budget for that (and me being very choosy in picking out the color selection), we plan to paint the interior wall later.
Oh, the curtain from Macy is ready and hopefully by next week, once Hubby has cleaned the house, we can call the curtain team and let them hang the curtain up..yeay! After some discussion last night, we think we will go ahead with the plan to install 1.5HP air cond for the master bedroom. We might even buy a dryer so that I don’t have to go out and hang our clothes outside.
The thing is there are a lot of Indon and Bangla everywhere during daytime, doing defect rectification at other houses in the area. Taking safety precaution into consideration, buying the dryer will eliminate the need for me to go out and let myself be seen..huhu! So hopefully tomorrow we will manage to go out and scout for affordable dryer.
Well, that’s it for Labor Day update. I need to rush and take my shower while the son is taking his evening nap..heh! Enjoy your weekend, people!
