Busy Bee, Busy Me..

Gosh..never realized that time flies so fast this week..I wrote the previous entry on Monday, and now it’s Saturday morning already..isk!

I have been busy taking care of the little one. This week is such a miserable and testing week for me. I kind of turned a deaf ear with his whining and crying during day time and even at night. He can’t stand seeing me doing anything else. I think as he is reaching the 18-month old phase, he becomes really clingy.

Well, despite that I managed to cook a lot of normal meals this week. I think after all the eating out weeks and letting myself get constipated with the lack of vege and fruits in the daily diet, I kind of turn into a health conscious person.

Oh, I even cooked mee kungfu after reading Mat Gebu’s blog. Will share the picture once I got the chance to edit it later, OK..

In the meantime, have a great weekend people..I don’t expect much since Hubby will be working the monthly release this weekend..but we do have plan for next week..hehe! And my birthday is coming in about 2 weeks time..jeng jeng!

My Favourite Surfing Spot

I have been surfing the Internet at home for many many years now..well, what do you expect..since I run my craft business at home and now that I have a son and being a Work-At-Home-Mom, I have no other best place to surf the Internet but my bedroom.

However I am not using P1 Wimax because when we moved to the current home last year, they don’t have service in this area. I am currently using Maxis Broadband until May (as per the contract) before we plan to subscribe to Streamyx (again!)

I bought a side table from IKEA and it fits my laptop and mouse nicely. It is supposed to be some kind of serving tray for living room but it works fine for my surfing purpose. I could put a desk and chair in the bedroom as my workstation but so far this arrangement is the best for me. Oh, I sit on the bed while doing all my online tasks, replying email, updating website and blogging.

And if the connection is really slow, I hardly waste time but resort to reading book, drink Milo, or even sew beads on my attire..haha! I can even clip my nails while waiting for the page to load. And when the time permits, and the little one is not making fuss about the time I spend surfing, I check out my Nuffnang earning and see whether there is any good opportunity to increase my monthly online income such as writing a post like this for Project Alpha..heh!

Project Alpha Season 2 is presented by Adidas Action 3 and supported by P1 and MAS

Car Trip, Anyone?

We have been planning to go on a longer-than-usual car trip with the little one next month. We have not been doing such trip since he was 6 months because we dreaded the whole commotion and havoc that comes with it.

Remember the last trip to East Coast that we did, how we have to endure the long crying spell because he wanted to poop but he can’t because he was in a car..isk!

So this time as a more experienced parents, I have mentally prepared myself that a walking and active toddler would be more challenging to handle. And he has this bad habit of sitting on the car floor mat as well despite my effort to keep him in his car seat.

However he is past over the habit of picking things up on the car floor mats and eat them..Thanks God for that!

And do you know that there exists car floor mats like WeatherTech that come with a special non-stick surface to make it even easier for clean-up? The mats have deeply sculpted channels that trap liquids and spills in their place, allowing you to keep driving without having to panic…which is a plus bonus for parents of toddler who drinks and eats in a car..huhu!

What do you expect when you have a toddler? A lot of mess, everywhere,anywhere..most of the time!

What Does A “Stay-At-Home-Mom” Put On Her Resume?

Honestly I haven’t updated my resume since my last job in 2004. There were many occasions that I felt compelled to update mine but half way through I didn’t manage to complete it.

And that was way, way before the time I have a baby.

Yesterday, while doing the horoscope for child-parent, I came across this question on babycenter.com..

It’s not that I want to go back to work anytime soon, it’s just make me wonder, one day if I have to do so, what do I put in to fill the time gap?

Mothering is certainly the toughest job in the world, but how much it is valued in the real working world? Does it make any significance in term of salary, package, benefits etc of the new job that you want to get?

Do all the skills we accumulate throughout the years of bringing up our children will impress the interviewers?

What do you think? For those with experiences, please share.

Child Horoscope

Let Your Child Roam

Taurus vs Sagittarius

Your Sagittarius child is energetic and curious by nature and wants nothing more than to get out and roam the wide world. From an early age, he loves being outdoors regardless of the temperature or weather conditions, and he adores travel, even if it’s just a trip to the grocery store in a nearby town. But a camping trip or a visit to another country would be even better!

You appreciate your little one’s innate honesty, his sense of morality, and his happy heart, and while you’re certainly up for life’s many pleasures, you’re just not quite as adventurous as your child. Stable and grounded, you prefer the comforts of home to breaking away from what’s familiar to stretch limits and investigate ideas. But your Sagittarius child thrives on adventure, so give him his freedom and allow him to explore the boundaries of his existence.

Thrill-Seekers

Aries vs Sagittarius

You and your Sagittarius child make a great team. You’re both spirited types, always on the go, seeking the next adventure. You understand your little Sag’s need for freedom very well, and you gladly let him establish his independence. You’re even proud of the way he tests his boundaries. Besides, you’ve got your own trailblazing to do! Your best times together are spent out of the house, traveling, mountain-biking, or pursuing any other activity that combines physical exertion with thrills to keep you both engaged.

Remember, too, that your Sagittarius child needs ample mental stimulation as well as physical exertion. Take him to the library and the museum often, as fodder for his expansive, curious mind. Best of all, the fact that you’re both easily distracted shouldn’t be an issue. Your little Sag won’t mind following your lead, as long as you’re heading toward the next big experience.
