When You Are A Stay-At-Home Mom..

I was browsing and read a status of a friend in FB, she says something like, “duduk rumah, keja sapu angin, tolak awan..”

If you compare to others who work full time of course it seems like we, moms who stay at home gain nothing, in term of financial or career achievement..but actually we do a lot more than what we give ourselves credit for..

See, my effort to make the world a greener place..

And then when everyone is hungry, I make something good to eat and make sure that the ingredients are nutritious as well which is something I hardly have time and energy to do when I was working long time ago.

Then, when the little one becomes restless and can’t stand the heat during daytime , I become the lifeguard and set up the mini pool for him to soak in..

And when the time permits, I indulge myself in things that give me peace like art and craft..

Of course not everyday is a rosy day, but even working moms have their bad day, right?

The best part is I know what’s going on at home, not having to worry that my son is crying or screaming for whatever reason..will he be eating, sleeping and playing well..his safety, his emotional well-being..wondering whether other people who look after him are doing their job..you know things like that..

For me, it is worth more than RM500 that could be paid to a maid or RM400 paid to any nursery..yes, I admit that mothering is a hard and demanding job which makes me scream and shout especially when all the nice talk and coaxing is not working out..but it is certainly the best job that God has bestowed upon me…not every woman has the privilege to be a stay at home mom by choice.

Another Decoupage In The House..

I’ve mentioned about this paper napkin with apple motifs in my other craft blog before. And I was planning to write about it in this blog as well, but as always, I am behind the time these days.

I managed to seal the tin, applied primer and glued the motifs on. It took me about 3 days (or was it more?) to complete all the tasks. I have to really steal the time to do such stuff, like a quick 5-10 minutes before I took my shower and while Hubby took care of the little one..huhu!

This is how it looks like after a 3rd layer of gloss varnish. I thought of putting opal dust on it, but after looking at the varnished output, I thought it is just nice the way it is now.

For those who are interested to try your hand in decoupage, hurry up and sign up for 3rd April class. You can make your own apple tin after you learn the basic in my class..heh!

No Sweat

These days I dreaded going out during day time because it is so hot on most days. I am not really a kind of person who sweat a lot, but in the current weather..fuhhh..even the most inactive sweat glands will be sweating out.

Not sure how do people go on with their daily activities, you know sportsmen, oh even teachers who have to teach PE to their students.

Perhaps this FRESH anti perspirant spray could solve the problem. It has 24 hours of protection against perspiration. The new Dry Max system technology for extra-wetness absorption will help you not to be embarrassed especially when you have to hang on to the LRT during peak time.

If you are going on date right after work, its cooling fragrance will leave you with that just showered feeling when the heat is on. Of course it is advisable that you go back home, have a quick shower and change to casual clothes first before you go on date on weekdays..heh! I think your date will appreciate your company even more..but then if you really have to go out straight after work, then this is the fast solution.

Oh, for those doing laundry, good news as the special anti-whitening material in the spray will help to minimise white marks on skin and clothes. So those Renoma and Alain Delon work shirts will last longer, at least until next year Year-End-Sale..hehe!

And for those with sensitivity to alcohol, don’t sweat as it is 0% alcohol, PH respect and dermo tested (whatever the terms mean..) So go grab a bottle at the nearest Jusco or Watson and tell me if it’s really work for your armpit..keh keh!

Oh, one more thing.. for those hardcore bloggers out there..do you want to be featured on Season 3 as a guest blogger? Here’s your chance - submit your audition videos to them now! Find out more at the Auditions page on their website: http://projectalpha.com.my/auditions/

Project Alpha Season 2 is presented by Adidas Action 3 and supported by P1 and MAS. Auditions are now open! Check it out at www.projectalpha.com.my/auditions
