I got some extra time tonight to edit some pictures to accompany my entry as the son is sleeping..heh! Usually he sleeps around 2-3am, but tonight he fell asleep around 1am..maybe because he didn’t nap at 11pm..huhu!

Anyway, I just want to share the picture of his first lift-the-flap board book. We bought it when he was around 7 months. He is really into reading or should I say eating the flap of the pictures..keh keh! But one thing I noticed, not all flap will be eaten.

On a single page of the book, there will be at least 2 flaps, but some are not being eaten at all, while some always become the victim every time I turn to that particular page..isk isk! Nevertheless, our son is really fond of reading, sometimes when I read the story book, he will babble along with me.
I wonder when he will start reading on his own..heh!

It’s almost wedding season again (although I think people these days have wedding reception almost every weekend regardless it’s school holiday or not..heh!)
For those looking for ideas for bunga pahar, feel free to try making your own bunga dip lily.

These were done early last year for a client. She requested olive and lilac theme so I chose this purple-like and jade green combination of dip. Of course once you know the basic on how to make bunga telur dip, you can improvise and make bunga dulang for any of your gubahan hantaran.

Bunga dip class for November is still open for reservation. This time the class is limited for 10 participants and might be the last class for the year of 2009. Interested students can check out details at website bungatelur.com.

I just can’t wait for this week to be over (and it’s only Monday..hehe)..reason? Hubby will be clearing off his annual leave early November so the long hols will start early for me this coming weekend..hehe..(feel like a student looking forward for semester break pulak kan..)
We will be going to KL and OU to get stuffs for my craft class during the week off (and most prob on weekdays..yeay! less crowd and less traffic hopefully). And I might be doing some tudung shopping in Jalan TAR as well. Hubby said (despite his disapproval of the design) I should wear tudung that doesn’t need brooch…(ala-ala Ariani gitu) Our son loves munching the stone out of my brooch, there were 2 occasions which I managed to korek his mouth and took out those batu brooch..heeiii..just imagine if he swallows those stone..huhu! Or maybe I should just use safety pin, and pin the tudung from the inside (will I look like makcik wearing tudung like that?..isk!)
On another note, I think I have found another business that I would like to venture into. A friend is getting a very good income from the business, (sapa tak nak duit byk kan?) but for me, I like to join because I believe in the product that the biz is selling. Well, let me dig deeper about the biz opportunity and I will share more once I have all the info.
Got to stop typing now as I want to continue reading the book How To Multiply Your Baby’s Intelligence. Will share info about that as well once I manage to finish reading it. Till then, have a good week ahead, people!

After almost a year I’ve come to term with the fact that my son is just different than other easy babies out there. No wonder other parents don’t complain that much about how tiring to raise their kids..huhu! And yet here I am, thinking and feeling like “is it this hard to bring up a child??”
Taken from an article : Live Wire: Caring for High-Need Babies - Caring for the baby who is more sensitive, unpredictable, intense and hard to soothe by Teresa Pitman
“High-need babies need the same things as all babies do; they simply need them all the time instead of intermittently,” he explains.
“They need to be held pretty much all the time, they need to suck more, they need to move around more. While a more easygoing baby can often be put down to amuse herself for a while, a high-need baby wants to be in arms and in contact with a parent.”
For parents of high-need babies it can seem like the only thing their babies don’t need more of, is sleep.
Honestly, life is not all thorns with a high need baby like my son. As he is an intense person, I always feel that he loves me deeply as he gazes adoringly into my face as he drifts off to sleep at 4am, like he wants to make sure that I am the last thing on his mind..something very hard to describe but enough to make me feel that all the hardship in a day work as a mother finally pays off.
Parenting a high-need baby is an intense and demanding experience, but there is good news. “We like to encourage parents about what they have to look forward to,” says Sears. “We call it the payoff. Those high-need babies, if they are parented in a sensitive, responsive and involved way, grow up to be truly wonderful children. They are energetic, outgoing, confident — they are leaders, not followers.”
Yes, I would want that in my son!
