Gimme Some ME-Time

This Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo has been a Godsent gift for me these days…especially when I need ample time to grab some instant lunch (I was on Sri Kulai microwave-able 4-minutes meals most of the time).

At least with the son put in the Jumperoo, I don’t have to be worried of him being tergolek, tertiarap on the floor. He can roll over to the left or to the right, but still is unable to turn back to the normal position, thus the cry for help..huhu!

I hope he can sit unsupported soon so that he won’t be so bored lying down or being on his tummy most of the time. Of course the best remedy for him to stop crying will be a hug from Mama, berdukung all the time walking around the house.

With an almost 7 kg weight, lugging him around a few hours a day, I don’t need to lift dumb bell anymore..huhu!

Let’s Be The Internet Bootstrapper!

I have been chatting with a friend about how to make more money these days, with less effort, minimal capital but good profit. And then I found this website about Naveen Jain - Wizard of the Information Industry.

He used to work in Microsoft for 7 years, and now is listed in Forbes 400 with a net worth of $2,200 mil. During his career years in Microsoft, he was involved in OS/2, and MS-DOS, as well as Windows NT and Windows 95, systems for which Naveen Jain still owns patent rights. He then later became a group manager at Microsoft and launched Microsoft’s online service, The Microsoft Network.

Got tired of making billions for Bill Gates, he founded InfoSpace (with little financing), an internet technology company once heralded as the next Microsoft. He took the company public on NASDAQ in 1998. InfoSpace became the Internet content supplier which provides horoscopes and stock quotes to AOL, Lycos and other Web sites.

He then founded Intelius in January of 2003. Intelius started out as an online information service providing “intelligence” on individuals, including court records, property holdings, address information, and the various associations between people.

The point here is how with experience and sheer determination, a person could build a business (and even more businesses) and make it a success. Quoting from a website on Bootstrapping : the secret to entrepreneurial success seminar in which Naveen Jain was one of the panelists,

“Bootstrapping is the act of starting a business with little or no external funding. Bootstrappers don’t write lengthy business plans, chase deep-pocketed investors, or indulge in overly academic market research exercises. Instead, they focus all of their considerable energy, brainpower, determination and skills on creating a business that can actually succeed in the real world.”

I hope I will find the courage and strong inspiration to get it moving. Who knows in years to come I might be invited as one of the panelists in any entrepreneurship seminar..heh!

My Brestfriend Travel Pillow For Sale

I bought this before I delivered my son many months ago. The intention was to use it while breastfeeding him. But since he nursed almost all day and night long, I resorted to breastfeed him while lying down.

So since I hardly even use this pillow for nursing (and have no intention to keep it for the next baby), I am letting it go for RM100. I bought this from ebay and with the international postage I think it costs me even more than RM100, but I couldn’t find the transaction receipt.

Last week I checked at Metrojaya, they are selling the non-travel type for RM188.

Please check out the details in myBrestfriend official website - Travel Pillow.

This is how it will look like once you inflate the travel pillow and put on its cover. The design of the cover is sunburst (in soft green).

For those who are new to all these breastfeeding “gadget” you can check out the features that most moms will find useful.

For anyone interested to buy, kindly leave comment with your valid email address, and I will get back to you soon.

The Orange Wedding

It’s that time of the year again, when people get wed and hold their wedding reception. As a matter of fact, an ex student of mine already invited me for her June reception a few months ago. Thus prompting me to dig this old picture of orange wedding we attended in March this year.

I am not sure what is the favorite color theme for 2009 wedding, have to go to several wedding to come to a strong conclusion, but my guess is it will be something in golden tone. Like last year (2008) the favorite color is turqoise or something blue-tone.

To all getting married this year, may you be blessed and strong enough to brave the journey of married life, it could be a sweet experience throughout but can’t expect it to be less bitter. Whatever obstacles that may come your way, hold on and endure it together, as that’s the real test of love you have for each other.

KLCC, Jumperoo & Anakku

On Sunday we went to Maxis Centre in KLCC to return the USB modem and get the Power WiFi package. It was the first trip for 3 of us to KLCC, not that we frequent that place that often even back then as a couple. I feel that KLCC is too crowded with all kind of people, making it really serabut to shop for anything..heh! Our favorite shopping malls are Subang Parade, Ikano and The Curve.

We managed to get everything settled (despite the stupid and rude customer service) and quickly left KLCC and headed to The Curve. Initially I was planning to check out forward facing car seat since our little one seems to be really restless in his current seat nowadays.

We went into Metrojaya and I asked Hubby to put our son in the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo, and he loved it! huhu…Hubby was all into buying it (Hubby being tak sampai hati..hehe) but since the box is big, I thought we should go around and do more shopping before we get back into Metrojaya and buy it.

So off we went to Ikano, had tea at Kluang Station, went to Cold Storage and bought solid food for our son (some Gerber cereal rice, Gerber organic applesauce and Farley’s Rusk - not sure which one he’ll like since it’s his first solid food) and then we went back to The Curve to buy some items from Anakku boutique.

Since the current house is bigger and it takes me longer to reach him upstairs (and the possibility of not hearing him cry if we watch TV in the living hall), we decided to buy a baby monitor. Plus there is 10% discount in Anakku. Bought a few more long and short pants for his baju basahan and Sebamed cream (was looking for BUDS diaper rash barrier cream but the Mothercare outlet there are out of stock) and then we headed back to Metrojaya. I decided to sign up for Metrojaya member card as well since the Jumperoo is kind of expensive (sayang pulak kan the bonus point)..in fact I have been planning to be their card member for so long but since we hardly shop in Metrojaya before so no point in establishing membership..heh!

As I am updating this entry, my son is enjoying his Jumperoo..giving me a few good minutes to have some ME-time..hehe!
