The Coming March..

I finally have the time and mood to update this blog. I have been staring at the admin page for the past 2 days, waiting for the inspiration and correct words to type..no, actually I have a lot in mind to share but every time I start to blog, there’s always distraction.

My son refused to sleep again last night. I think he only fell asleep around 6 or 7am. As of now at 2:30am, he is sleeping thus the possibility of me to update this blog..heh! In 2 days time we will be in March..I love it when the time flies which means soon my son will no longer be a baby. If I have the power, I would like him to grow up to be a 5-year-old boy tomorrow..heh!

March seems to be a busy month, with friend’s wedding, relative’s wedding, niece’s engagement and hopefully the craft classes as well. I need to finish up the craft stock as much as possible so that it will be easier for me to pack everything, in the effort of moving to our new home…hehe..(Oh God! I hate packing..)

In the meantime, I aim to finish up the bunga telur order for May wedding before end of April. I am in the midst of preparing all the ribbons and calculating how much more materials to buy in KL. Since I have a baby, going out anywhere feels like a chore especially to KL to buy craft material..huhu! I hardly buy groceries now. Thanks to Hubby for doing all the necessary buying though sawi hijau turns out to be kailan..hehe!

Well, since tomorrow (more like today) is Friday..enjoy your weekend, people! See you again next week..heh!

Blogging For Parents

All parents out there who are into blogging, you should consider hosting your own website or blog.

If you think it is difficult to find a web hosting service that suits your preferences, consider these factors such as host reliability, uptime, key features, bonus features, customer support, past and current user feedback and user-friendliness before you tie yourself with one.

Reading this article : Three Steps to Finding a New Web Host might help as well.

If money is the main factor in choosing the web hosting company, just remember that paying peanuts might means that you will be playing around with monkeys later on..heh! Check out this article : Beware of Cheap Web Hosting Practices.

Of course paying a lot of money won’t guarantee a good service either but quality does come with a price, right?

Books For Parents

I read books, lots of them..simply because I love reading and mostly because I have time to do so (pre baby years..heh!)

But now I read books on babies because they help me to figure out the best way to raise my child. I can’t stand all the conventional methods that old people preach about no matter how many kids those folks have. (Things like tidokan dalam buaian, dodoikan before tido, using pacifier, jangan mandi waktu malam, crying is good to clear their lungs..huh??!) It just doesn’t work for me (or at least doesn’t provide me with the peace of mind that I yearn for.)

So in the end I trust what I read from books. After all these authors have done their research and observations on thousands, if not hundreds of children before they come out with the books. At the moment I am eyeing to buy these 2 books :

Secrets of the Baby Whisperer: How to Calm, Connect and Communicate with Your Baby by the late Tracy Hogg.

The No-Cry Sleep Solution: Gentle Ways to Help Your Baby Sleep Through the Night by Elizabeth Pantley.

I hope I will get good amount of paid posts this month so that I have enough money in my PayPal to pay for these 2 books on eBay. I have tried looking at local book stores online but they don’t keep these 2 books in stock..sigh!

The Art Of A Good Marriage

By Wilferd Arlan Peterson

Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.

A good marriage must be created.

In marriage the little things are the big things.

It is never being too old to hold hands.

It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once a day.

It is never going to sleep angry.

It is at no time taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon, it should continue through the years.

It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.

It is standing together facing the world.

It is forming a circle of love that gathers the whole family.

It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy.

It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.

It is not looking for perfection in each other.

It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humour.

It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.

It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow old.

It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.

It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocal.

It is not only marrying the right partner; it is being the right partner.

Oh, God!

There are days that simply tiring, and trying my will and patience as a mom..huhu! God knows how many times I told myself over and over that maybe I am not cut out to be a mom, ever or how I wish I am more energetic to brave through all these tiring experiences.

Yet somehow I know that since God has granted my wish and bestowed me with this child, it is a amanah that I have to take good care of and give his hak to the best that I can. But I can’t help feeling depressed and sad over few stupid remarks made by stupid people, things like ruginya ada degree tak keje, kalau keje boleh bantu suami, bla bla…duhhh..I have so many good points to rebut their remarks but I don’t feel like justifying my personal choice. And funny things are I realized that those who say such remarks are those that they themselves don’t have a degree or have to work to help support their husbands..cehh!

I can go on and on, on this topic but I guess those who are stupid and ignorant will simply stay the way they are so there’s no point for me to waste my energy on this matter.

On a lighter note, I have bought a book titled Your Child at Play: Birth to One Year : Discovering the Senses and Learning About the World (Your Child at Play Series) by Marilyn Segal. I tried to find a new one on MPH and Kinokuniya but they don’t have the book so I resorted to buy a used one on eBay. Hopefully this book will arrive soon since I am still waiting for the nursing bra I bought few weeks back (must have been stranded at the post office or the Customs..huhu!)

Oh, today I managed to have my lunch, took my shower and even pampered my face with toner and moisturizer despite the fact that I am sleep deprived as my son kept me awake last night from 1:30am till 8am this morning..sigh!
