Phone Cards, Why Buy?

*This post is written for phonecardsavenue.com*

Why would anyone buy phone cards these days? With everyone having cell phone and land line with rates that are very affordable, the only answer will be to save on the long distance bills. Imagine trying to call home from overseas from your roaming cell phone, after a while it will cost you a bomb that might be equal to the amount of the airfare ticket..heh!

Since Hubby will be going to US soon for training, I think it will be very good for him to look around for the international calling card that offers good rate per minute. I have checked around and found one with $0.63/min. I am yet to discover the cheapest rate. Otherwise for that two weeks duration we might as well communicate through email and chat online..huhu!

The company, Phone Cards Avenue provides the best international calling cards online. All of their phone cards are delivered online instantly so you can make the call right away. If you are not sure how to choose they even have instructions online on how to buy the phone cards. What you only need is a valid credit card number after you sign up in order to authenticate yourself.

I think I just found one from New York X-clusive that offers $0.43 per minute. I think this is for calls to Malaysia land line since the rate for cellular is $1.96/min. I still have to check whether any call made from other state in the US will give the same rate or is it only for calls made from New York. There is another one from Nine (800 & Local Access) Phone Card that offers $0.46/min.

I am reading their FAQ and I think it’s clear now. In terms of buying the card, as soon as my online transaction is approved, I will receive an email with the Access numbers, PIN and Dialing Instructions. And as long as I use their posted toll free access numbers I will not get charged anything extra except for my mobile phone minutes, if I use a mobile phone.

The Wednesday Blues

I think I need to sleep but somehow at 2:30am Wednesday I am still awake in front of my notebook, thinking what to write for this blog.

Now when I look at this picture, it does look like some old painting but actually it was taken in Sri Ayutthaya. Since the lighting inside was so dimmed, it was hard to make it very sharp unless I use the flash. I am yet to update all the food story in Cintarasa but I will be doing that later.

These days whenever I’m talking about food it gives me some starving feeling, like I want to eat something every time. For those who are wondering, yes God has answered my prayers. I still need some double triple confirmation so I will wait at least till this weekend to see how accurate those two pink lines on the stick are..heh!

My Productive Week

Hubby is back to work today and I have to complete the bunga dulang order…huhu! Being Hubby’s accountant, I have to complete the income tax form as well. Not sure how much we have to pay to LHDN this year despite the PCB deducted every month…damn! So for all the government servants out there who earn their salary from our tax money and don’t have to pay tax on their own, please do your work diligently, jgn nak mengular je..

Anyway, the last one week has been very productive. Remember the list – My April Plan that I made, I can almost checked each item off. I went to the Craft exhibition, visit the friend’s booth and did the batik painting. I went to OU and learned glass and porcelain painting. Thanks to Hubby for waiting and as a result of him window shopping from one end of One Utama to another, I got a new wallet for my birthday present. Yesterday, we went to the Gardens and checked out the Art Friend shop, what I can say is that I like the shop very much…nanti nak pegi lagi once I have the list of craft stuffs to buy there.

We went to Borders and MPH and I managed to get glass painting book. There is supposed to be a few copies in bargain table in Borders but the staff there couldn’t find the book. So instead I spent around RM90 for the creative glass painting book, but I know I will never regret it.

Oh, the sample of bunga dip lilac and olive green was approved by the client and she already banked in 50% of the total amount. That order will be due before 20th May. Emm..the sofa in IKEA is still under consideration. I think I will let the old sofa ranap entirely before I buy a new one. I got the mugs I need for decoupage class and the nylon brushes as well.

So that leaves the artificial flowers shopping. I think I will go once I get all the barang hantaran from my niece so that I get the whole idea on how to gubah her hantaran. I will be doing hantaran for the groom’s side as well.

Can’t wait for Hubby to come home from work. After more than a week of constantly having him at home, I miss him terribly today..huhu!

Back To The Reality

Since Hubby’s leave is coming to an end, so does mine..huhu! I’m back to the reality of house chores and all. I’ve been neglecting the piles of dirty clothes and today I decided it’s about time to do the laundry.

I won’t be cooking till May so it’s great that we tapau some lauk pauk from Kg Baru when we went for late dinner plus supper after watching Grey’s Anatomy. I already masak nasik and will reheat those tapau lauk later – all kind of ulam, budu plus sambal tempoyak, pari bakar, tempe goreng sambal, bilis with petai, masak lemak rebung (this bamboo shoot dish gives us back pain and sakit badan..some people say rebung bisa..but still so sedap..huhu!)

Oh, check out this massive red head..nice of it to bloom a day before my birthday. Now I can say, even my garden celebrates my birthday this year..haha!

The Romantic Man I Married

For the Woman I Love

So many times
I have tried to describe
how much you mean to me,
but it is never more
than a pale reflection
of my true feelings.
What we have together
is beyond words….

So when I hold you close,
I hope you hear my kisses speak
the language of my heart.
And when you look into my eyes,
I hope you can see
all the love I feel for you inside

Happy Birthday
