A Homemaker’s Diary

Suddenly this title of Chinese movie came to my mind as I am checking my email (for last time tonight) and jotting down the address of the friends we are going to visit tomorrow. I can’t really remember the details of that movie but I think till now I still consider it such a great love story.

Oh, I won’t be bringing my notebook since the backpack is already heavy with the DSLR, lens and everything. Maybe we will buy few more pieces of memory card in Singapore if the current ones are all full..huhu!

We will be leaving home at 7am or maybe earlier so I have to go to sleep now. So in a way this trip will really be a vacation and a break for me as I can’t check my email, receive calls/sms from my students and clients etc.

I will surely miss the Internet connection and the sms/ business call..heh!

As planned we went to take out the PayPal money in Al Rajhi, and then paid all the bills that are due early March. Since we have time we came back to Jusco and changed the RM into Singapore Dollar. The buying rate was 2.30 so there goes my RM690..huhu!

Not sure whether that SGD300 will be enough for 4 days but as long as it can cover all the meals and the fees for tourist attractions entrance, I will be more than happy. This trip will not be the last one as we plan to save more money for electronics shopping later.

It feels so good to know that my blogging money could pay for a vacation - at least part of it. If it’s not for all the eBay shopping spree, I would have more cash to spend for this trip. But it’s ok, I’m still blogging and earning though not as much as before.

Tomorrow I have to pack the bag. Still thinking whether I should bring my notebook with me, who knows there’s ops for blogging during that 4 days..heh!

This pair of shoes will be on the road touring the country across the causeway in 3 days time. I hope it will be sturdy enough to withstand all day long of walking, after all I have 3 pairs of socks to accompany the insoles, heh!

Now I have to start packing all that I need for the vacation. We plan to go and take out my money from Al Rajhi tonight and pay all the necessary bills before we go on vacation. Then on Tuesday we will go to Jusco to find the money changer. Hopefully they have Singapore notes. Then Wednesday night I have to sleep early so that I will be fresh on Thursday morning. Luckily there’s nothing interesting on Astro on Wednesday. Can’t wait for the next season of CSI to start in March.

I will miss this Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy as I’m not sure whether the hotel has the same StarWorld channel…huhu!

To all the readers who drop by expecting an update, sorry I was busy this week. Hubby took leave on Tuesday and Wednesday and we managed to get the passport ready in one day. We went to One Utama to buy my stock of decoupage materials, even bought myself a new handbag (my old one is really depressing with all the torn and tear everywhere) and opened saving account with Al Rajhi.

I transferred the money in Paypal on Tuesday night into the debit card and today I checked, the money is in. Thank God! It takes only 3-4 days for the money to be cleared. Now I have money to spend for the vacation even though the exchange rate is too low compared to what I used to get…huhu. It’s 3.16 but still who would give you money that easily, right! So that RM1k++ will have to be changed into SGD by this weekend since our flight next week is on Thursday morning. It will be too rushing to exchange the money at the airport, being a non morning person that 10am flight is like a burden for us..huhu!

I think we have to get out from the house around 7:30 the latest and being Thursday a working day, the traffic will be massive. Oh, come to think of it, I haven’t book the hotel for the 28th stay. I think the same hotel will do since it will be a hassle to move from one hotel to another.

Talking about the courier, those items that I ordered have arrived safely (the decal paper and tudung) except for the backdated Digital Camera magazines. I was sleeping when the Kangaroo courier guy honked. I have called him and ask him to deliver again on Monday.

Well, that’s it for today. I have to complete the bunga telur order since the client will come on Saturday to collect. Then another order to go and I will be free…haha! Can’t wait to relax in March.

Ok, one down, 2 more to go..heh! Luckily for the bunga stokin order instead of 100 pcs I only have to do 29 pcs because the ribbons that the client wants are not available in stock. Yes, I have to return some of her deposit but what is important she gets what she wants.

Sent this bunch of bunga dip lili to the Singaporean client on Saturday. (The one in the picture has 25 pcs of the bunga pahar, she ordered 50pcs.) She is the mother of the pengantin, while all these time I thought she is the pengantin herself…haha!

No wonder she is very thoughtful and considerate. Since we only communicate through SMS and email, it never occurs to me that she might be the mom until I call her at the hotel lobby. Hopefully the wedding in June will go on smoothly.

Now I have to get back to the other 2 orders. Tomorrow I will be going to the Immigration office in Subang to do the passport, another day wasted..huhu!
