As much as I said I don’t really like digital scrapbooking, today I made another layout using my friend’s baby’s pictures…hehe..better than some stuffed beanie toys I have in my collection.
So here is the quick page using the template from ShabbyPrincess. I need to learn how to ink the edge of the photo mat using Photoshop. Found the tutorial but yet to try the steps.

And then I did some shopping again. This time it was for a bunch of clear stamps by Autumn Leaves, Imaginisce and Heidi Swapp, a Making Memories journaling book and more ribbons. There goes my USD25 inclusive of the postage. Then I realized that I need acrylic stamp block which I have to bid for another 4 days.
Since I’m planning to widen my class syllabus to cardmaking, I think it’s about time that I buy an embossing heat tool. After reading the reviews online, most people recommend Marvy Uchida. That one inclusive of postage will be another USD24 to spend.
But that won’t be all that I need, now I need cardstock, glitter for the embossing powder and embossing ink..huhu! More money to be spent which perhaps I can wait until my next date of payment..heh!

After reading the tutorial on creating digital layout using Photoshop, I thought it’s about time that I give it a try. I downloaded the kit from ShabbyPrincess and even though it looks intimidating at first, but actually the whole process is very simple. Just like the editing I do all the time with the pictures and logo for BungaTelur.com gallery..heh!

Honestly, I still prefer the old style scrapping process. But now I can tell that I have tried my hands in digital scrapbooking and here is my very first digital layout.

Just as I told myself over and over again, that my shopping spree at eBay should be controlled, (or at least until all the previous bought items arrive), I did it again last night…huhu!

Actually I have been putting all those items listed above in my eBay watching list like forever. If you compare the price with the one sold in the craft shop here, the items price is acceptable. The only hard thing to bear is the shipping cost, almost as the same price as my scrapbooking materials..huhu!
Luckily while waiting for the bidding to be over, I got 4 nice opps from PPP and another one from Blogsvertise, so those opps could cover for USD49 I spent on scrapbooking shopping. Perhaps later I will spend some time studying more on search engine marketing so that I could attract more visitors to click on the adsense in this blog. BTW, don’t convert the USD amount to ringgit malaysia, I know it’s crazy to spend more than RM300 just to buy patterned papers, ring book and stickers.
But a girl has to do what she has put her mind at, right! Whether to get a designer handbag, nice shoes or crafts materials (the first 2 is definitely not me..haha!)

Check out this USA Hotel Guide. I like the way they custom write about the travel destinations. They write about the background of the place, any special places to be visited while you are there, where to stay, any event that you shouldn’t miss - well, you know the info that the usual first time visitors would like to know.

Our friends are going to migrate to Canada soon and although they are not going to stay in Montreal, I guess it will be a part of the holiday plan to visit them over the years. As the guide mentions, if you are planning to have an island getaway in Canada, then Montreal is your destination.
Reading through the guide, I can only imagine what a nice way to discover Montreal by taking a ride in the horse drawn carriage, right? Make me feel like a Cinderella..hehe! And with its French speaking population, will make me think that I am in France while I’m actually in Canada.
The Old Montreal, or Vieux Montreal as the French would say, is said to have several buildings that date back to the 1600s. I love the idea of medieval life so I will having great time taking pictures at the two famous public squares there - Place Jacques Cartier, which dates back to 1803, and Place d’Armes which features the Basilica Notre Dame.
And while I’m in Montreal, perhaps I will find the time to see the stunning show by Cirque du Soleil.

I am torn whether I should do more crafts classes in January or really focus on writing my craft book..huhu!

The only setback in conducting classes is that I have to wake up early..huhu! I love my morning slumber and I can only work straight after 1pm..otherwise I will be very groggy and grumpy..heh! But the nice part of having classes are meeting more new students and get to share the knowledge with them.
The picture of bunga pahar above is for the latest bunga stokin class. I have the purple organza roll for 4 years now. It was used during my wedding and I still can’t find ways to finish it up. Perhaps another reason to conduct classes is to finish up my stocks of materials…hehe!
