The Magnolia Rub Ons

I woke up quite early today because I want to make sure that I win the bid on eBay. I have been eyeing to buy the lot of Magnolia rub ons since June but every time I try to bid it’s either the price is too high or I lost the bid during the last few seconds..huhu!

The price for each of the Magnolia rub-ons is around USD1.99 so when the seller offers 15 pieces in one lot for bidding, it is really a good bargain if I can get it for less than USD20.00. Just as I was so sure that I can win with USD15.50 during the last 2 minutes, another bidder win it for USD16.00. Like a smack on a face to lose for a mere 50 cents..huhu!

Never mind, I hope the seller will be kind enough to offer me a Second Chance Offer to buy the rub ons. Otherwise I have to start the bidding game again once the rub ons are relisted again.

Now I have to focus on winning the Plaid brushes for decorative painting. Another 51 minutes to go..heh!

Search Engine Marketing

*This post is written for Apogee Search*

Do you know for those who run their business through online promotion, it is really important for the business to have visitors and potential clients coming to the website through organic search and search engine marketing methods like paid search, natural search, affiliate marketing, pay-per-call, ad exchanges and online media buying. Just having a website with no one visiting wouldn’t do any good to the sales performance no matter how brilliant the design of the website really looks like.

With a company like Apogee Search, with their proven techniques, powerful Web analytics tools, and a deep expertise in statistical evaluation it will help to generate solid, measurable results at every stage of the search engine marketing process. With their search engine optimization, what you will get as their client is top natural search rankings on Google and other major search engines.

Or if you have the time in hand to learn and keep updated about search engine marketing industries news and events, check out the Apogee Search Blog as they share more about SEO there. But for me I find it quite mind boggling and rather leave it to the professionals like them to find the best way to make my business website to be at the top search ranking on search engines.

The Notebook

As promised earlier, this is the picture of my new HP Compaq notebook. I’m not sure the exact model but it has 160GB of hard disk, 512 MB of memory which I add on another 1GB for additional RM120, and it comes preloaded with original XP Pro.

And the seller gave me a mouse and notebook cooling pad as free gift.

Now I have to find a better working surface other than this brown box..haha!

The Italian Journey

trevifountain.jpg

I was flipping the channels on Astro when the Travel and Living showed the journey to Italy. That time it was almost the end of the show and the host was throwing a coin into Trevi Fountain.

It was said that legend has it you will return to Rome if you throw a coin into the water. You should toss it over your shoulder with your back to the fountain.

Now this reminds me of the song Three Coins In The Fountain taught by my music teacher long time ago.

Even if you only have a short time to spend, make sure you have made reservation to stay in any of the hotels in Italy.

For example in Rome, I read that it is one of the most difficult cities in the world when it comes to finding good accommodation.

Just like the well-known idioms says, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do” therefore once you’ve got a room to spend the night in one of the hotels in Rome, check out their attractions such as the Spanish Steps – The Scalinata di Spagna, the Pantheon – monument of imperial Rome which originally a pagan temple and St. Peter’s Basilica to name a few.

As some claimed that Venice is the world’s most beautiful and unique city, you better book ahead for Venice hotels.

From one of the websites that I read, it says that the typical Venetian hotel is a former casa or palazzo with a limited number of rooms. This means that room shortages can occur at any time from spring through fall.

While you are in Venice, check out their places of interest such as the Grand Canal, St. Mark’s Square, the Palazzo Grassi and The Fenice Opera House.

For me, as long as I can be in Rome or Venice for once in my life time, I would be happy. After all taking the Italian journey is one of the many things I want to do in my life..heh!

An Early Anniversary Gift

It was Deepavali public holiday on Thursday and Hubby initial plan was to go to work. But when I woke up at my usual “morning’ time he was downstairs doing his work on the laptop. I continued sleeping because I stayed up late and still need the 8 hours sleep..after all there was some leftover food in the fridge (I cooked fried macaroni the night before for supper) that Hubby can eat for lunch.

When I woke up later in the afternoon it was starting to rain and Hubby said we should go out as my plan to find the scissors and brushes for my decoupage class. I’m going to have 5 students coming over for this Saturday class and definitely my existing scissors and brushes can’t accommodate their needs..heh!

So off we went to Mydin Hypermarket USJ despite the disgruntled look and annoyed grumble from Hubby. Anti Mydin for his own reason..hehe! Was really glad that what I hope to find was there so I bought 2 dozens of scissors and 4 dozens of brushes (in case the class for 50 people at the Jabatan Kerajaan on 22-23rd Nov will be approved by the Datin Pengerusi..huh! Take ages for them to get the final decision, normal government attitude!)

Anyway, since I wanted to eat Chicken D’light at Delifrance, we went to Subang Parade after the fast shopping at Mydin. Actually I wanted to check out the price for RAM for a friend but it was too expensive and the exact memory specs was not available at their IT centre. Another reason to go to Low Yatt this weekend, yeay!

In the end instead of getting the RAM for my friend, I got myself a HP Compaq notebook. I told Hubby, he should consider this as this year wedding anniversary gift. I have been planning to get myself a notebook for many years now but every time I feel like buying one, I keep on postponing the act.

Now as I am typing this entry, I am sitting on my sofa in the living room with the notebook on my lap. Will get a better option for the correct surface to put it on later. I think I found one TV rack at IKEA in the catalog which suits the height and width that I need to do my work with this notebook, and better still with a price less than RM50.

In the meantime, if the class for the government club activity is on, maybe I can pay for the vacation that we plan to have during the anniversary week although we haven’t booked any place yet and it’s going to be school holiday soon. Otherwise it will be just nice to stay at home with this new notebook and Hubby around. It doesn’t matter whether we are going somewhere or stay home, being together is just a bliss. :)
