The Decoupage Class

Despite the hassle of getting all the materials - brushes, hair dryers, mugs and out of stock sealer and varnish for the decoupage class, I managed to conduct the 2 sessions classes on Thursday and Friday last week very well. Thanks to Hubby for being supportive in finding and scouting for the materials. Pat on my back as well, heh!

My first class only has around 20 students but by the last day, the second session, the attendance grew to almost 30 plus the last minute Pengarah who was so excited to decoupage her mug..hehe! Come to think of it, I should have taken some pictures with her but since she came in after my time was supposed to be up, I was just not thinking anything else but to proceed with my plan to go to KL to get materials for corsages order (dateline 14Dec). Lesson learned, never take the ride on ERL and LRT during after office hour..huhu!

Here is one picture with the second batch of the students. I think not all are in this picture, camera shy maybe. I was told that they are going to submit the class pictures to their Jabatan buletin and website (intranet?). Who knows more Puspanita from other Jabatan would like to invite me for their activity later (for their next year’s budget, perhaps!)

I think I prefer conducting classes than doing commission work and completing orders. Oh, my Aussie client has sent her wedding pictures. Glad that my bunga pahar and corsages did help to brighten her wedding. I will update the pictures in BungaTelur.com website portfolio soon. Oh, not to forget I need to scan the newspaper article and bunga songket pictures in Ratu Sehari magazines, there are more pictures in the IV edition.

I will be attending Folk Art Class hosted by the Laman Impiana magazine this 8th December in Shah Alam. At last I manage to get a seat. I just hope the brushes I bought on eBay could arrive before the class date, but come to think of it, I doubt it. I’m sure it has arrived but got stuck with the custom..huhu!

See you all around, I might not be able to update this blog very often, plus this week is supposed to be my week-off..my wedding anniversary is right at the corner..hehe!

A Disappointing Day

It started around 4am when I was about to go to sleep. There was one opp in PayPerPost that I would like to post so after writing the entry, copying and pasting all the codes as given, the error keep on coming up that I did not insert all the link and code given..damn! I kept checking what might go wrong but until 7am I still couldn’t submit the post. Frustrated with the error, I sent a ticket to their help desk. I know it will take some times to get any reply but what else could I do.

Then at 9:10am, I was awaken by loud noise outside of my house. There was one big truck with Indon workers with an excavator, backhoe whatever you call it. I was not sure what they did outside though I did peek from behind my living hall curtain. Since the notebook was on, I tried to resubmit the post again, but the same error kept coming up. Fine, let it be a draft then though I really like the entry and the images of the logbook..huhu!

So off I went to continue sleeping although I was not in a happy mood. Woke up around 2pm and saw a yellow envelope in my mail box. I ran out to take out the envelope, must be the Wild Mushroom papers so I really don’t want the papers to be folded in two for long. What good will a scrapbooking paper do if it is folded in two before you can actually decide what layout to make out of it.

And once I opened the envelope I noticed that the papers are not double sided cardstock type..huhu! No wonder the price is cheap but since I paid USD15 for shipping, I still feel disappointed. Checked the description given by the seller, yes she didn’t say it should be a double sided cardstock papers. My fault after all!

Well, things are done and choices have been made, no point of feeling down even though it did not turn out the way we want it to be, right? Hopefully the next batch of stickers and embellishment sent by the sellers won’t be a disappointing lots..huhu!

More Decoupage Materials Needed

Just as I thought my source of income from blogging will see very little dollars into the Paypal account, huhu.. I got confirmation to teach decoupage class at one of the government offices in Putrajaya next week. So in order to accommodate 50 students which will be separated into 2 sessions, one session per day, I will have to go out to look for more decoupage materials.

Plus in December there will be more craft classes since I already received few requests from those interested to attend the classes - scrapbooking and decoupage at my home. I am glad that more people are interested in the art. After all there’s nothing more satisfying than reading testimonial and comments from those who have attended the classes previously and felt that they have learned a lot from me.

So in a while, (since I just wrapped up bunga dip making class just now and had lunch), Hubby is going to bring me to One Utama and IKEA, yeah you know I need to find the proper table for my notebook to be on while in the living room. Hubby said pity me for not having a better surface to put the notebook to impress my students..ceh!

Well, I will write more after my short shopping trip. See you guys later, OK! Have a great weekend :)

The Tumbling World

I was not feeling well for the past two days. The first day I couldn’t even wake up because the whole world seems to be turning upside down, a weird giddy feeling, a sign of low blood pressure maybe plus food poisoning..huhu! Never eat Maggi Tom Yam in cup at 4am..huh!

Then today it feels much better compared to yesterday but still some uneasy feeling. Maybe because of lack of sleep since I always stay up late to blog, tell me who can resist the temptation of money..hehe! Then in the daytime, I always skip meals and only have dinner when Hubby come back home from work. Hubby said my body doesn’t have enough nutrition and rest because of my style of living..huhu!

For those who are wondering, no I’m not pregnant as it is the red flag time of the month. Maybe this is the way of my body telling me that they are having enough of my staying up all night and not eating during daytime. I’ll try to be a normal person but I’m not sure how long it will last, heh!

Let’s Go For Quick Shopping!

iphone1.jpg

What would you like to get as the best gift for the year? Or are you still finding the perfect gift for the coming Christmas but only have short time to spend for quick shopping?

Listing what you want to get or buy for yourself is not that hard but getting the right price which is within your budget is the main problem, right?

Now for those in the UK, there is a website that could help you make the selecting tasks less burdening. Using the Quick Shop search button, try keyword iPhone and you will get the list of directories of all the shops available online. Of course you can refine the search by putting all other additional criteria like price, model or even the shop’s name.

At the moment, the cheapest price is around £200.00 for an Apple iPhone 8GB. I know this is something that Hubby would love to have but for us in Malaysia, the problem would be the shipping. Not all stores are willing to ship internationally. Guess I have to wait until iPhone come into Malaysian market before I can get one for Hubby, heh!

For those who are looking for books especially on crafts, you will be amazed to see the lists of all crafts related books in Quick Shop.

I use keyword decorative painting in the search feature and I am excited to see all kind of books from different authors and masters in decorative painting. I think this Priscilla Hauser’s Decorative Painting Workshop book will be something I would want to add into my book collection but again Amazon does not ship to Malaysia..huhu!

Have a quick look at what Quick Shopping could help you. Who says shopping is such a chore if you know where to get the best bargain.
