End of this year (or maybe early next year), a few of our close friends are going to move into their new home. I am thinking about giving something personalized as housewarming gifts. If the time permits, maybe I will do something crafty with my collection of decoupage or scrapbooking items, but if not getting something on the shelves would be a good idea to save on time and effort.

I think for the couple who is going to move into their double storey terrace house, I will get them this personalized doormat. This doormat is cast aluminum from an original wood carving, with welcome inset plate or personalized characters. The mats are available in two colors - French bronze and pewter. It will be a nice idea to personalized the inset to be their family name, right?

As the doormat is a personalized gift, it will take around 5 weeks for manufacturing and ready for shipping. Maybe if they are going to move in next month and decide to throw the housewarming party soon, I need to look for other type of gifts that could be completed in faster time.

Getting address plaques or house signs as housewarming gifts will be a good idea as well. But of course I need to know their exact home address..heh!

I think if you are in real estate business, having all these items of house signs and address plaques will be a great closing gifts for real estate agents, builders and mortgage companies. But of course with such unique personalized gifts like doormats will also make great holiday or wedding gifts!

I always like Anuar Zain as a male singer and as a personality in the entertainment industry. His album is the only album I bought except for this new one. Usually I prefer to buy the compilation album because it has all the best songs. On a personal note, I hope he will find the best woman to complement his talent and to support his singing career.

I was doing my bunga songket downstairs when I happened to watch the Fat Camp series on Discovery Home & Health channel. I am not sure whether there is such camp in Malaysia but I think it will be a good idea to introduce one.

I am thinking to change my diet plan to be light and lean meal, rather than the usual typical Malay food. In fact we have tried this before when Hubby was on healthy regime last year (or the year before?) and it worked for only 2-3 weeks.

I think the problem with such cooking is that it takes a lot on our tastebuds to adjust to the bland and not really tasty meals, heh!

I think perhaps I should try the berpantang menu for a change. After all, grilled ikan with ginger and black pepper will taste good when eaten with sayur air, but how about the carb intake? With such lauk, I’m sure we will go for a second serving for the rice..huhu! And in the end it will defeat the purpose of weight gain control…any idea to make it really work?
