Design New Game For Me, Please!!

Hubby has a new hobby (should it be considered as hobby anyway?). He bought Xbox 360 last month and now we have new entertainment in the bedroom. If he’s not shooting the alien in Gears of War, he’ll be jamming his guitar with Guitar Heroes. I tried my hand with Viva Piñata but then somehow this game frenzy fails to rub on me.

Maybe for those with the talent and ability to come out with the new games that will attract people like me, should consider taking Game Design study. Check out the programs they have at http://www.gamedesignprograms.com. The curriculum in the game design study will help equip you with game essentials like C++, Java®, 3ds Max® and AI (Artificial Intelligence).

Not only that you will learn the technical aspect of game design, you will also be prepped on game research and planning, character development, storytelling and project management. The hard part for me will be the modeling programming. Oh God! Why can’t my brain comprehend programming language when it can learn other languages in the world…huhu!

So, my request for those game designers out there is to come out with some games that close to homemakers’ heart. I am still waiting for something like The Sims to be a part of the Xbox game lists. Enough with all this ongoing battle, let’s have some peace with our game console!

To Further or Not?

It seems that everyone I know is furthering their studies. Few are doing their doctorate and yet I am still finding for fund to do graduate study, which keep on bugging me what graduate study I should consider myself doing.

I don’t think I would be happy to go through those technical path again. Those years of learning Engineering Maths, the formulas and theory, it is like a nightmare for me. I love using computer but those digital logic circuit and assembly language were too much for me to bear. I sighed in relief when I passed the papers.

I thought if I were to further my studies it should be something related to e-commerce and the kind of business that I am doing at the moment. Checking out this website: http://www.selectitschools.com made me realize that not all IT programs revolve around programming and web designing.

Their E-Business & E-Business Management program sounds cool. But I still have to consider my ability to tackle those programming language – PHP, XML as mentioned in their syllabus. To tell you the truth I can’t even come out with Hello World! using C..sigh! I know for Hubby it will be a simple stuff but I can’t let him do all my assignments again this time..huhu!

NVM, I will look for other option. Worse still, I will consider taking baking as my further study..wink!

Looking For Criminal Justice?

I told you I’ll be taking a break so I will be watching TV like there’s nothing else in this world to do..haha! I used to follow Law & Order series until recently when I got hook with so many stuffs to be settled. But other new series like Criminal Minds and Bones are still in my must watch series. Call me TV junkie, I don’t care!..hehe..

For those interested to move up your career ladder but need to have higher education and professional career training, check out this website at http://www.schoolsinstlouis.com. Their campuses are all located in metropolitan St. Louis, Missouri.

Their Criminal Justice Degree Programs look interesting but I am not sure what I can do with such degree here. Anyway if somehow Hubby get new job there and I am free with nothing to do at home in St. Louis, getting another degree with totally different branch of studies will certainly be a challenge for me. I love learning new things, it’s the exam that I hate..sigh!

In another thought, I’m not sure my brain is still not too rusty to be a college student..heh!

A Doctor or A Nurse?

I love watching Scrubs. It is hilariously funny and weird especially when they over exaggerate certain scene. But it makes me wonder what could happen if I take medical degree instead of engineering. Will I be a doctor now or I still end up being a homemaker after going through the 7 years journey of medical degree..hehe!

If you are still not sure which path of career you should take, perhaps a look at Health Education Program will give you some ideas. Check out the site at http://www.selectmedicalschools.com. I have a second cousin who pursued her studies in Nursing and now working in UAE medical center earning USD8k per month. Damn, I should have think twice when I submitted my application to further my studies 11 years ago.

Perhaps with the emergence of so many spas and beauty treatment centers in my local town, I should consider taking Massage Therapy Diploma Program. I might not be a doctor or a nurse, but I can still help heal the pain..hehe!

Traveling With Blogs?

If you feel like traveling to all those distant places that you can only hear and read about (or watch on TV), check out this travel blog. I love the pictures they share and the stories about all the trips they made. How I wish I will have the chance to tour around the world, to see all the exotic places, to immerse in the new culture and meet people of different races and ethnics.

For now I will settle with reading the stories on this travel blog. At least it will feed my curiosity till I have enough money to really take the first step of my adventurous journey..haha! You know, those people from the RealTravel community really have exciting stories. There is one couple who explores Germany and Austria mainly via bicycle. Check out their picture of Salzburg. Such a serene place, huh! No wonder Mozart could come out with great music with a landscape as soothing as this in his birthplace.

If you are an avid traveler and feel like sharing the stories of your world tour, get a free travel blog as well. It will be easy for you to keep track of your road maps, upload unlimited pictures of the trip and share them with your family and friends. Who knows with the existence of the travel blog, you will gain more new friends with similar interesting travel experience or even different perspective of the same place you have been.

And in the mean time, I am reading the stories of people traveling throughout Southeast Asia. Those travel trips to Chiang Mai and Ho Chi Minh City really paint a vivid reality of Asian living and culture. It looks like a rough and raw experience but I’m sure beneath it there is some uncovered gems that will shimmer in your memories forever.
