I was watching a movie half way on my cable channel when there was a need for air ambulance in the rescue scene. The city in the movie was struck with storm and most of the ground roads to other cities nearby were flooded and the only fastest way to relocate the babies in the hospital was through air ambulance. Of course the other time that I’ve seen the use of air medical aid like that is in series like Grey’s Anatomy where they use helicopter to transfer organ for their patients.
So when I found this website, I realized that well, there is such service in the US for private air ambulance. I’m not sure if such need arises, the patient involved could claim the bill through the insurance provider since I think the whole air ambulance cost will not be as cheap as the ground transportation.
The company, Air Ambulance America, LLC has a dispatch located in Miami, Florida and has helped many people by bringing patients to better care facilities, from one state to another, to nursing home and hospitals and facilitate in bringing the loved ones home.
I’m not sure whether such service is available in my country but I’m sure would be happy to know that if something needs such air evacuation like that, at least there is a service that could provide the comfort and care for people in need.
