This is what you can do with your empty chocolate can. Turn it into craft materials, now I’m collecting all nice shape bottles and tins to feed my decoupage mania..hahaha..will upload the picture of the Japanese plate later. Once I manage to do about 20 items I will start thinking about opening a beginner class for decoupage…muahahah..

I finally went to the decoupage class on Tuesday. I’ve been planning to attend that kind of craft classes for ages and I finally made it this time..hehehe..

At first I only intend to learn the basic techniques for doing decoupage on bottle, but after the first hour I thought to myself I might as well continue with the wood. In a way since I was already at the craft shop, might as well learn all that I can (and with the limited budget I have in the wallet…)

So this picture is the proof of my learning curve. Not bad for first timer, plus the fact that the instructor did touch up on the wood. The skills of decorative painting or folk art did help to beautify the final product.

Coming back home, I bought 2 ceramic plates and other materials needed like the sponge and brushes. I spent about 3 hours yesterday doing my own decoupage while cooking Soto for dinner…hehehe, guess multitasking do help a lot in life. I will upload the pictures of my plate and empty (now decorated) Almond Roca can tomorrow.

I guess I really have to complete my bunga telur order soon so that I can spend time practising more on these decoupage crafts. Now I’m going to google around for how-to write poem on the ceramic plate. I already have rough idea in mind and just can’t wait to start implementing it..hehehe..

My client came to collect his Valentine bouquet last Sunday. I’m glad that he’s happy with it and will ask for the response after tomorrow. I used to do all this Valentine stuffs for sell while I was in Uni few years back, simply to feed my artistic demands and help all those last minute boyfriends who did not have any specific ideas what to give to their girlfriends on the eve of Valentine’s day..hahaha..

This time my Valentine card was bigger and was made using the ready made card stock. I used my butterfly puncher and glued them everywhere on the envelope and the card front. I should have taken the picture of my hand made card.

Oh, while on the card making topic, I found heaven of RM9.90 craft magazines in Amcorp Mall. In fact I found out today that there are 2 shops selling RM9.90 backdated issues of imported magazines….huhuhu..another reason to invest in my craft learning…I bought one issue today which gives away digital scrapbooking software for free in CD format. Another magazine I bought the other day has 8 double sided acid free patterned paper. Now I just can’t wait to start doing the scrapbook again, both on the paper and the digital version.

Enough said about those papers, just to wish the very best of happiness to everyone who has their loved ones with them, cherish and treasure the one you have because you never know whether the love will last or death will do you apart anytime soon..if I’m gone I just hope that I had enough time to complete my scrapbook so that my husband will have the pages to ponder..sob sob..
